Clear Creek, Wind River Range

My painting teacher Tseng Ta-Yu was never able to join me on trips to the Pinnacles or Castle Crags or some parts of the eastern sierra where sheer granite mountains almost compare with the Chinese peaks of Quelin. In the Wind River range of Wyoming I found sharp robust peaks shrouded in mist and snow and thought of Mr. Tseng and his inspirations. I was able to paint this view of meadows along Clear Creek on a day hike to the natural bridge, above Green River Lakes.

This painting has been sold. A hand colored etching based on it is available from my home page.
