Geysers, Yellowstone Park

Deedee and I took a day before backpacking to visit Yellowstone's famous attractions by driving. We hiked up Mount Washburn for the incredible view (see my etchings department), then drove a big circle up the river to Yellowstone Lake, around to Old Faithful and the Firehole river and back to camp. In the cool autumn air that was damp with spats of drizzle, the steam from geysers lingered and billowed. It was too damp and the wooden walkways are not wide enough to set up on to paint . You cannot just walk off into the land to find a place to sit because it is still cooking here. I completed this from memory in camp.
