Deedee and I backpacked in the Wind River Range then camped and fished along the Upper Green river, but wind and rain and snow kept me from painting. A few weeks later, after Deedee had returned to school, I was still traveling in northern Colorado. When the weather changed to warm and clear for a day I drove back to the Upper Green. It was still raining further up at the lakes, but clear and calm enough in this long public section through National Forest below. I had one of the best days of my travels, fishing for large rainbow trout and painting at a few spots along the way.
